NMOSD
neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder
is a chronic, relapsing, autoimmune disease that primarily affects the optic nerve and spinal cord. NMOSD attacks are unpredictable, severe, and recurrent.
Every NMOSD attack may cause damage and irreversible disability.
NMOSD Shattered shows physicians how fragile their patients’ health can be and how to protect them.
Each image in the campaign focuses on a patient looking at herself in the mirror, which is cracked into the shape of an astrocyte. This is where the damage occurs in people with NMOSD.
By directly linking the cause of damage to patient outcomes, we were able to steer doctors towards a more targeted treatment approach.
